Streat Automation have been providing engineering services for a number of New Zealand’s biggest Food & Beverages manufacturers:

Canterbury Brewery: Various CIP and other automation projects working with Schneider PLC's and iFix.

Cadbury Dunedin: Enrobed Starch project using a CompactLogix PLC.

Cadbury Dunedin: Crumb Plant Expansion project using a Controllogix PLC with a networked dual screen RSView SE system and RSHistorian for reporting.

Sanitarium Health Food Company: Flake biscuit (Weet-Bix) and Marmite, make and cook lines. Originally using F&P PSC but later upgraded to Rockwell ControlLogix PLC’s. There are two Citect HMI terminals with RSSQL linking the PLC’s to a SQL database to provide batch and report information. Production scheduling is provided by a custom VB application.

Cadbury Dunedin: Pack100 Wrapper Automation Upgrade. Complete re-design and upgrade of the PLC and servo controls and mechanics for this high speed-wrapping machine. The system uses a Rockwell ControlLogix PLC with 8 axis SERCOS servo control (over fibre) and Ultra 3000 servo drives and motors.

All ‘mini’ Cadbury bars produced in Dunedin were wrapped on this machine, which has now emmigrated to Australia.

Cadbury Dunedin: Third floor conveyor automation for Cadbury bar line, using RSView32 on panel PC with Powerflex 70 variable frequency drives on DeviceNet.

Cadbury Dunedin: Crumb plant automation upgrade of existing plant and addition of second reactor.

Tegel Foods: Energy management intelligent load shedding system designed to minimise peak electricity loads.

Canterbury Brewery: Brew tank CIP system using a Modicon Compact PLC with a Magelis Operator Display.

ENZAFOODS Nelson: Juice Plant automation upgrade with ControlLogix PLC, FlexIO and Intouch HMI.
